This happens in my truck with a vented enclosure. The difference with the windows up vs. down is pretty great. Is there an enclosure type that would be more resistive to this? It makes tuning pretty difficult. Almost need a windows up, and a windows down setting.
*WARNING Stupid Newb Question*
Couldn't he add some polyfill to get the desired effect? It is my understanding that adding polyfill is similar to a displacement increase. Increased displacement would lower tuning, right?
You could wire some bass blockers in with the stock speakers. That will cut out the low frequencies. This is not the best way to do it, but probably the cheapest.

I feel like the z130 and the 9980 are meant to compete, however, the 9980 is about $400 more than the z130. That is why I am comparing it to the 6980.

Price is not a factor as I can get them both for very near the same $.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
If it is blowing the fuse as soon as you connect it, you have a short. Go over all of your power wires again. Something is more than likely grounded somewhere.
I don't know anything about your subs, or box, but have you looked for the specs here?

It might help if you mention what model your subwoofers are.
The ports are 2.25" each. I am wondering what will happen when they combine into a single 5.25" port after the divider. What effect will the ports joining and expanding that 3/8" each have on things?
Ok, so I have been doing a lot of reading, and research. I have narrowed my choices down to 4 subwoofers. The issue is, I still have a little trouble understanding all of the subwoofer parameters.
I would like to run 2 subs, either 10" or 12". I have approx. 4 cubic feet total to use after...
