Hey can you run two seperate amps to one speaker , I just bought a jl audio 1000/1 and was thinking on hooking them both up to the one speaker, would you hook them up to each voice coil seperatly or wire them together?

Well , i hooked it up in series (2 ohms) and it just wasn't as loud so I hooked it up in parellel again . I did set my box at a steeper angle and it sounds a lot better , I'm thinking on making a new box as this Idea didn't seem to work that great

So I take it no one has had any problem with thier amp shutting off at half volume?? thats my real concern .

Yea its hooked up , its wrapped around the back of the speaker , its hooked in parellel so it should be operating at .5 ohms Sorry for the crappy pic but I used my phone and the pics arent great, plus I'm at work so I can't get my dig camera.
