Orion recommends 1 cubic ft. ported to 31hz and 2500 watts

My new h2 sounds really good and clear in a sealed box. I plan on listening to it every day. Yesterday I pulled 146 db on the dash with only 1220 watts rms going to it. Thats not bad for one 12 in a sealed box.

Tested my h2 today 146 db, thats 5 db better than my friends 12w7 that he said was louder. I still have do more tweaking on my system I think there is still more to be had. The part I don't understand is the sub sounds like it is bottoming out, and I only have it on a 1000 watt amp. Orion...

Yeah 1.4 ft^3 sealed with a crossfire cfa-1000d running at >15 volts pushing it. I say its louder than my Friends 12w7, he says it isn't. We will try to settle it tomorrow with an spl meter.lol. let yall know what happens.

After burning out the voice coil on mine so fast, I didnt want to try another one and have the same thing happen, so I traded it for a new Orion H2. I finally got it yesterday. It sounds almost, if not as good, and it is sooo loud!!!!! I am very happy with the H2 so far. Maybe it will last.

The Orion 2500d seems to be a really good amp. A friend of mine has one, and it seems great, but it pulls something like 250 amps. Are your Brahma's dual 4 ohm?

I heard a set on a usa-2000x and they were being pushed really hard.

I broke mine in for two weeks at 4 ohms (about 300watts rms). Then I hooked it to full power (1 ohm), and put in a test cd playing a 45 hz sine wave in 15 second intervals, while I set the amp gain with a scope. I was on the fourth set when it quit. I was at about 1175 watts rms.

I havent tested a class d yet so i cant say. I can only speak for what I have personally seen, and the 400 watt tested pretty low.

I do think HiFonics over rates their amps. I tested a HiFonics 400 watt 2 channel HiFonics amp a few month ago it was running at 2 ohms and was only putting out 100 watts per channel rms. Its kind of like my friends 1200 watt amp that wont blow an 80 amp fuse, something is wrong there...

the bad thing is the voice coil is not covered under warranty. they said they will replace it this time but no more.
