Problem solved just ran it off the red instead which seems to work just fine....turns off and on with ignition now.thanks for you help mate

ok i'll give that a go tomorrow,and yes the red power cable is connected to the battery...cheers for your help i'll get back to and let you know how i got on

ive not noticed it turning off from opening the door no,the hu stays on until ive taken the keys out...as for the sub/amp that just stays on until i take the remote cable out,i'll try and see if anyone i know has a dmm i can use,i thought maybe because i have switched the red and yellows to stop...
