The 250r and the 225g are both much newer amps made by directed electronics in Korea. Neither are technically "old school" Orion as they were made after Orion sold out to DEI in the late 90s. I'm looking for an offer in the 2k range, they sold for $1200.00 new.

Pioneer/Sony/Kenwood/Clarion amps are clean and ok... they are consumer grade amps, you'll never be "thrilled" by any of them but you'll be happy and usually get a good long life out of them.
