I see, so when Slapper said "Thanksgiving Dinner is Cheaper," what you thought he meant was "The wholesale cost of Turkey is down?" Who was it that said "Reading is fundamental?"

And then the same article goes on to say that Thanksgiving dinner is more expensive, and that one type of turkey got cheaper, while another got more expensive. Even the USDA offers the same data.
So, which do we believe? That it's more expensive, or that it's less expensive?

Perhaps reading the whole article instead of just the headline, is fundamental?

The very article you posted to "prove it" shows that it hasn't "proved it".

"While the wholesale price for fresh turkey is up from 2024, grocery stores are featuring Thanksgiving deals and attempting to draw consumer demand back to turkey, leading to lower retail prices for a holiday bird."

Retailers are taking the hit, in order to (hopefully) drive slacking turkey sales up.

Retailers taking a profit margin hit is not a "win" for Trump. Do you think it is?
Do you similarly think the tariffs that the retailers are paying and passing on to us is a "win"? Is it a "win" if they take the hit and DON'T pass it on to us?

Instead of just leaping on a headline that you think proves your point, spend time to read the text below the headline.

Tell me more about this "illegal immigrant support" tax. Is it anything like the illegal immigrants that are somehow getting Medicaid, or maybe like when Newsom was stealing water from other farms to keep his alive while others' died? Maybe it was like how the wildfires were caused by Newsom's "lack of water", yet none of the reservoirs ran dry, even after all the firefighting was done?

At that time, you were claiming your grocery costs had doubled from the year before. Your support of your argument was that Diet Coke had doubled in price for you, because you were buying it in much smaller quantities, in order to be healthier.

At that time, I went and compared one of my actual shopping receipts from a year prior, to the prices on the very day of the discussion. They had gone up far less thatn double. In fact, I'm not even sure it had increased by doubke-digit percentages.

I asked you in good faith to do your own comparison from YOUR purchases in YOUR area, to see how you could possibly be paying double, when the market area served by my local retailer (about 250,000 people) had not raised their prices anywhere near as much as you claimed yours had.

I asked you in good faith mutliple times to do it, but you always found a reason not to.
Feel free to actually prove yourself right when challenged, instead of just offering up your "Rob is always right" nonsense.
I'm sure there are others who cheer when you do it, as if you somehow "zinged" me. But honestly: That line is tired, and it's a lazy way out. It proves nothing more than that you have no support for your argument.

I'll let you guess which type of turkey comprises the vast majority of turkeys that are stocked and sold by retailers for the holiday.

That by default eliminates the already-dry reservoir. And already-dry reservoir can't run dry again, unless it's been refilled. The one that was dry would have made no difference to the firefighting, since even the active ones didn't get emptied.
But that's a debate for Slapper to battle, though he'll probably just forget all the claims he made, and move on.

I know you are just repeating a Trumpism, but I've asked you probably a dozen times to prove your claim of illegals on Medicaid. Something you claim to have personally witnessed, yet can't provide even the simplest detail of HOW you knew the person on Medicaid was an "illegal", much less HOW an illegal was approved for Medicaid when the CFR specifically says they are not eligible, as does your state HHS system.
That's awfully disingenuous.

But I suppose it's just my "TDS" or "Rob is always right syndrome" to expect someone to prove dubious claims that they make, huh?
