It's well documented that cloud seeding (weather modification) occurs regularly in the US (and globally). Surprisingly though there'd little to no regulations that companies doing the seeding have to adhere to. It's the wild west essentially...

The scary part is the weather is so complex it's almost impossible to predict the overall affect it is having on the climate at a global scale. I really believe these attempts to manipulate the weather cause way more harm than good.
