I don't see the Government calling it an Innate 2nd Amendment right.

Clearly, if rights can be taken away, restricted, granted and altered, then somebody or something is on charge of those rights. Just because some gov't agent didn't show up at my house and say "Here's your 2nd Amendment Rights Certificate," doesn't mean that I must have been born with that right.

Other than thoughts you keep to yourself, I don't see how anybody can claim a right doesn't originate outside one's self.

Crazy thing is Rob's job is to restrict some people's access to other people's money. IOW Rob literally acts as an agent of the gov't enforcing & restricting people's rights.

I'm not exactly sure what/when you were saying in 2021. In hindsight, if we knew when Omicron would happen, we probably could have avoided bothering with a vax. OTOH, if Omicron hit 6 months later than it did, alot of lives would have been loss without the vax.

As for the wealthy & powerful, I understand we're just pawns in their game. However, there is no solution to that problem. More egalitarian systems have always failed us and created massive suffering. Even revolution just means a new group of a$$holes takes over.

That was already discussed. Having the right to do things does not absolve you from repercussions.

You have the right to free speech, but use it to incite a panic where people get hurt or die, and you will pay the price.

Roe v Wade involves an unborn *****.
Not a really great example if you are trying to say we are not born with rights.

If the government did it, then there must be a discernible process, method, timeline.

it's amazing this simple concept still confuses you. Especially, given that you cited ancient legal documents as proof we have innate rights. Wouldn't the fact Hummarabi & Cyrus have differing views of what rights we have stand as proof that rights aren't innate.

Why?

Roe v Wade is a great example since it involves women's rights. And what do women do - lobby gov't to keep this right, vote to keep this right, etc. So women are clearly under the impression rights come from the gov't. Furthermore, we can all see the right is subject to time, State & other variables.

Who was restricting colored people's rights prior to the Civil Rights Act? Who was enforcing colored people's rights post Civil Rights Act?
