I wouldn't lose sleep over this; Russians are known for overpromising and under-delivering with their claims. Plus, the USA has had anti-satellite missiles for some time now. Just look at the ASM-135 ASAT, which was developed in 1984 when realistically speaking, there wasn't much of a need for it. We just did it to prove that we could

I'm not worried about the threat, more about the technology, I just find it interesting and don't think people even begin to understand how far the technology is.

Socialism doesn't devolve into capitalism...government grows and grows until it fails...there's more than enough of track record to prove that...

Unless of course you buy into the "it wasn't done right" narrative...

It's never "done right" as there are no purely capitalist, socialist or communist countries. Do you have any examples of socialist countries that grew gov't to the point of collapse? I can't think of any. China & Russia are good examples of oligarchies masquerading as communists.

That's the problem...everyone assumes that a country didn't do it right...but without perfect people to run a socialist government it doesn't work...
