Russians kinda don’t like anyone, especially if it’s a capitalist country. They think capitalism is immoral and the height of evil. That probably does come with an element of racism when you believe that everyone except a Russian communist is an immoral devil.

Ironically Russia isn't communist in anything other than name.

I live on the border and it’s a disaster. Way too many people dead out here this winter. The cartels advertise that the border is open based on border laws. None of those people care what CNN says. They care what they cartel member they paid 5000 dollars to for border access says. They control all travel that comes across here.

Not sure about that. They have a command and control economy in most areas still. I’m sure some capitalism has snuck in though. They have to, or they would become North Korea trading meth and fentanyl with China for scraps from the big table.

What is the business (Big Pharma's) goal? To make a profit. In order to make a profit they must make medications that work. If they don't work, they can't sell them and make that profit. When is the exception? When the government mandates the medication. Then you don't have to worry if it works. You have been given immunity from prosecution. You've made your profit.

And the COVID vax is the ONLY government-mandated vaccine...

AFAIK it is the only one that did not have it's effectiveness proven before being shoved out the door. Hence the reason Democratic talking heads lambasted Trump when he said a deal was made to start vaccine distribution within a year.

1) It was vetted before being "shoved out the door" Pfizer alone tested on over 43,000 people in the first round of trials, and over 43,000 on the second round.
2) The polio vaccine was tested on Salk and his family. A year later they gave it to 1.6 million kids. Some got a placebo. Four died "from the placebo".
3) The mumps vaccine took 4 years to develop WITH 1960's TECHNOLOGY. It was then "tested on 2,825 West Indian workers at a Florida sugarcane plantation where mumps ran rampant".
4) The influenza vax was tested on 11 people in the first trials, 38 in the second.
5) MRNA tech has been around since the 80's.

Tell us more about how there were no tests for efficacy on the COVID vaxes, please.

You can never stop capitalism. They have a command and control economy, but that isn't what communism is. Communism is socialism combined with the caveat that socialism would "revert" to capitalism or cronyism, etc without a strong militant one party system. Russia has the strong militant one party system, but they are woefully lacking on the socialist part. Russia calls itself a democracy too...

That's a year. You think it's not possible for an $81 Billion dollar company with 100 locations employing 79,000 people worldwide to do clinical trials on 40,000 people in less than a year?
Disney Orlando services 200,000 people on a campus in a DAY.

What number do you think such a small company WOULD be able to do clinical trials on? Fifteen? Fifty? A hundred?

Give us a number, and tell us what a proper clinical trial is, versus what Pfizer actually did.

Nah, I got it. I'd hardly call it "lambasted." Secondly, Trump was making claims about vax being ready in months not a year. He was continually called out for his overly optimistic vaccine release dates. If only they could have got to market in months as Trump suggested, he might still be in office.
