wtb: soundstream ega-1700d

i currently have one of these amps that i am waiting to get back from the repair shop, and am looking for another one so that i can strap both of them to my eclipse 15's... if you have one lemme know, with pix and price...

does anybody have a remote gain knob for this amp? or the "strapping" cable? or can this be done with a regular 6-pin phone line?

sorry man... not that your amps arent nice, but i dont have that kind of money and plus these are aluminum eclipse 15's not titaniums. i am already going to be overpowering them as it is with these...

i got a guy with a blown soundstream 1700d that he said he will sell me for $55 shipped to my door. then its about $100 or less to get my guy to fix it.

question is? yall think i should get it or wait on a "working" amp to come along

my buddy had an alum eclipse 12 and we gave it about 600-700w and it was mean, i think one 1500-2000w amp would be just fine on the pair. Now, I've never used the 15's so I dont know of their power handling capabilities vs the 12's.

Yeah, but my 15's are single 4ohm and wired together that's 2ohms and that has the amp pushing 850 watts and roughly 425 per sub... So if I got another amp I could strap em at 2ohms and get 1700rms for the pair...
