From what I remember back in the day when reading it all was that having 1 end of the shield not grounded was a mute point, or at the least highly debatable on if it needs to be connected at both ends, no ends or 1 end. Just good to do the full reading from all points of opinion/experience before totally calling off using Knu products.
I think a lot of the induced noise is going to come from the vehicle itself and less from the capability or lack there-of for the wire to cancel out the noise. I have run the super cheapy walmart (scosche made) RCA's in a few vehicles back in the day and never had noise issues. Now I just have Kicker RCA's since they were what was available and have no issues with them. RCA's can be a highly debatable topic though with LOTS of opinions and facts to wade through.
