All a refurb is, is a old case with new insides, if it comes with a warranty refurbs are generally always a good deal

I ran 2 of the 1500's a couple years back on a single run of 1/0 and a big battery in the back and they held their own. I was very impressed; at that price you should snatch those up in a heartbeat

Nice I agree refurbs can be great deals. I got my Pioneer x400 from a refurb saved half the price.
