i put my type Rs on craigslist. i bought them used so i have never even tried them yet. i want to try them out make sure there alright before i sell them. a guy wants to hear them and make sure there not blown. so any problem with hooking them up to my amp with them not in a box? would that hurt the sub in any way?thanks.

wont hurt them as long as its low volumedont go cranking them up free air
alright sounds good thanks.

just don't give it rated power...just show him it works at low levels
without a box the sub will most likely bottom out at with full power going to it
ya they wont be getting near rated at all. my amps not 1 ohm stable so i got to wire to 4 ohm so the will see 500 for the pair.

Brahmas are nice. I have a 10" Mk1. Just a single 10 was enough for me.

Additinally, no need to reference "max" anything as those specs are useless. Most of know how to look at specs for a given speaker, amp, HU, etc...
