Super street 1-2 1500 enough?

Im thinking about entering a db drag competition later I me getteing a line driver maybe a crossover and im gonna make a ported box after i figure out my cars frequency and my subs are gonna be in a trunlk an the back seat doesnt scome down is 1500 watts gonna be enough......... 750 rms each? im gonna be using id max's v. 3 or should i do 2 amps with 1000 rms going to each of the amp any suggestions on other things i would ned will be helpful im just trying to hit 150 db

1500 is impressive, but if you can just get a single 2000 watt amp, you can be in Street, and be very competitive.

If i went 2000 I would just get anoter hercules and hook them up at 2 ohms each 1000 to each driver 2000 total
