Should i run w/o muffler?

if it was me i would take the exhaust manifold off and just run it off the block //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
thats such a stupid idea...and a great way to spend lots of money on lots of tickets...the only cars that should even be running no headers are full out race cars or those top fuel dragsters

You will likely experience a decrease in performance. Much like taking your intake / airbox off.

Expect rough idle, loss of power, increased gas consumption.

even race cars have sound resrictions keeping them quiet.

I had a set of Hooker headers I had on my Bronco (5.8 V8) and they didn't bolt up right to the exhaust.... so I spent a couple days running around with just headers.... pros: LOUD!!!, sounds cool at idle, gets everyones attention.... cons: I was about ready to pass out from exhaust in cab, gets VERY annoying on the highway, loss of power, killed MPG's, and would have eventually burnt up the valves.... moral of story; you need back-pressure for optimum performance and best gas mileage.... IMO stick with what you got till you get that 40 series on there, I have the 40 on my bronco and i love it!

Think of it as a ported enclosure; There's a reason for that port //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

they all still have headers even the top fuel dragsters
