I just wanted to run my entire setup by you guys before I went ahead and got it. Right now I have a 2004 Jeep Liberty with 2x 12" JL 12w3v3 subs running off a JL 500/1 amp. Other than that, everything is stock. I'm lookin to replace all six speakers and get a new deck and here is what I'm lookin at:

Does this look like a pretty tight set up? Or got ideas? I currently have Infinity audio in my car as stock but im pretty sure they are crapped compared to these Kappa's

not bad.

the SPS's do well off little power, but i dunno how they will handle on an external amp (i put a pair in my buddies car)

The kappas are decent. For that price, i would go in another direction (pioneer premier, CDT)

the wiring is a ripoff. go to http://www.knukonceptz.com and get better wire for a fraction of the cost.

Yeah i figured the wiring might be a bad price. As for the speakers you think Pioneer > Infinity? I really only know subs and don't know much bout components/tweeters. All I know is i have a general 700-800 limit i'm lookin to spend.

i've owned both the kappa's, and now pioneer's.

With double-layer deadened doors + a layer of ensolite foam, all sealed up, the pioneers outperformed the infinity's by far.

i dont know about in a non-deadened door though.

If you're reall happy with the substage, 800 is a nice amount to put into the HU amp and speakers.

I'd roll like this.

This amp

The suggested Knu kit.

and this HU

May take you over 800, but you will not be sorry. Wasn't sure what the size of the speakers in your rear now, but you could just run those off the radio and amp the front components.

The amp link doesn't work but I like the look of the deck a lot. The one thing i hate about alpine is i think they look rediculous/tacky but i just heard they were the best quality sound / best ipod interface

Id sit down and figure out exactly what all you will be installing for amperage consumption and add another 10-15% amperage useage on top of that...
