long story short for setting watts to sub, have everything hooked up with all bass boosts/EQ's OFF! although i have commonly used bass boost to increase the power... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif shame on me lol, play a test tone cd preferably around 50-60hz, most common is 55, not a sweep a constant tone. set gain to zero, put in cd adjust volume to 75-85% all a preference, personally if a headunit does 35 clicks on volume i usually do it at 25 just to keep the clipping safe. plug in DMM with test tone playing use a chart that convert AC voltage to watts, the chart i have does MAX watts so i divide that in half to get the true RMS, adjust gain until you get to desired RMS, call it a day, remember you stiill must tune the rest of the amp, subsonic filter, lowpass, etc...
