Hello,
Recently I have encountered a problem that I cannot seem to make sense of.
First of all, let me say that I have done a good deal of searching on not only this forum for the answer, but on Google and other forums as well. Thus, I am posting as a last resort.
I have a 1996 Nissan 240sx and I am trying to get an Alpine CDA-9883 to work.
At first, it worked great! It was wired up via a harness as well as a seperate 12v constant and a 12v power to the fuse box.
At this point everything ran fine.
After awhile I also added a Dual (b/c given to me...) amplifier to my system. I turned of the PWR-IC.
Once again, no problems here.
One day the amp stopped working so I disconnected it from the system. I hooked the speakers back up to the stock speaker wire, and turned the PWR-IC back on, basically taking it back to factory settings.
Powered on.
No sound...
What do I do now?
Here is a list of my troubleshooting.
*I turned the PWR-IC off then back on, still nothing.
*I tried resetting the radio by disconnecting the battery, nothing.
*I installed the radio in another car and it worked fine!
*I plugged in RCA cables to the back of the radio and then into an input of a device with RCAs and sound was produced.
*I have bought new speakers, and still nothing!
*All fuses are okay as well.
I have a feeling that there may have been a short that occurred with the amp. The wiring of it was not necessarily "up to code", but I am not sure what that could have damaged?
Any thoughts and recommendations will be greatly appreciated!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
