ok. so my plan is to put 2 hifonics 2500's to each sub. i plan on running 6 18's so i will have a total of 12 alps on the sub side. how many maxxlinks do i need since the hifi 2500's are not strappable? i have been told 2. one for every 6 amps. i have been told 3 one for every 4 amps and i have been told 6. one for every sub.. so whats the real anyswer? has anyone every played with one of these?

It straps amps into pairs. Basically all the Maxx Link does is send a 180* out of phase signal to the slave amplifier.

I recommend against using one at all. Just run one amp per coil and make sure to accurately gain match them all.
