my Matinince req. light is on on my 99 acura integra. it has 125k miles on it.. what could it be??

it's not the check engine light.. and the matinince req light just came on...

what is the usual matinince at or around 125k?

i was thinking timing belt?? but the car idles adn runs great.. i plan on changeing the oil, oil filter, spark plugs, spark plug wires, and the cap and rotor..

anyone know what it could be??

i have a buddy that works up at the honda dealership here.. im gunna drop it off to him and have it checked out once he gets some time..

If you have a advance auto part around you take it their they'll plug into it and give you a free report of whats wrong //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

my check engine light was on last week for like 2 day's.. and went away for 3-4 days now my Matnince req. light came on. while my check engine light was on i took it to autozone and got a diagnostic's check. and it said a few diffrent things.. that's why i want my buddy up at the dealership to check it out...

it could be anything. In my car the o2 sensor was always responsible for setting it off. i really would not worry about it.

yesterday i replaced... Fuel filter, oil & oil filter, PCV valve, Ign cap & rotor, spark plugs and wires.

and my maintn req light is still on...

did not replace the 2 o2 sensors ( 1 before & 1 after cat converter) there 89.00-139.00 a pop!

so im just going to wait to get my headers and full exhast till i replace those..

It really could be anything, you're going to waste time and money by just throwing parts at it guessing what's wrong. Its really just a shot in the dark. Have your friend at the dealership scan it as soon as you can so you can pinpoint it better. Oh and a little pet peeve of mine, its header... not headers

thats the oil change reminder light. it turns on every 5K miles i think. someone didnt reset it last oil change..nothing is wrong with your car

edit: you are not talking about the check engine light correct..i really hope you didnt drop all those parts into it.

yea it's the matnince req light...

i just bought the car. so that was a minor tune up i did... was going to do it either way....

im going to have the computor scanned again and have him reset it if it was just the oil change reminder light.. if not like i said im going to wait for the header and full exhaust to come and then replace the o2 sensors

Yeah, its just an oil change reminder. There should be a button somewhere near the pedels (did a quick search) that you should hold while starting your car and it will turn off

there is a small box about 2''x2'' has a wire harness running into it at a green plug mounted to the other side of the under dash that has a little button on it..

wonder if that's it?

Im gonna go with yes, hold it down for a few seconds while starting the car and it should go away
there is allso like what looks like a programing button on the left of the steering colum, it allso plugs into a factory wire harnes..

i'll have to try that when i get home.. momma went on vacation so i washed all the salt off my car, put it in her garage and took her car...
