Just hooked my rainbows up, and i am amazed!

heh glad you're enjoying the soundlines. everyone that sat in my car loved how they sounded as well. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Glad you're digging the SLC's //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif You'd likely faint if you got to hear the Germaniums on 300watts per side //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif To this day, i still hear a song come on occasionally and think '****, the last time i heard that song, it sounded totally different. Germs FTW'

I was running mine on an Eclipse EA3422 bridged, which according to eclipse does 2x140, some other places 2x120...i think it was more like 2x100 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif It was a night and day difference, especially in midbass output, going from that kind of power to 320x2....not that i see it actually pushing all 320w to them...max output appears to be about 200w per side considering efficiency... just over 50amps @ 13v (650w) current draw on the input side on the 4150xxk. Do it. Do it.

whats your hpf set at? I can run mine with it off and the bass is **** impressive...of course I normally run it at 80. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

80/12... i played around with 100/6 when i had less power, and that sounded good... and 63/18 and they worked but i didn't like how they sounded that low, but my 12w6 sings beautifully @ 80/12 and with this much power the germs merged great @ 80/12. You'll be horrified to hear i still haven't deadened my doors fully //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif But i've got a slight eq + at 80hz and 120hz and it makes up for the lack of deadening...though it doesn't get rid of the vibrations/rattles at certain freqs. Now that i've got a real amp for these i have no excuse; i must deaden my doors. oh the humanity. I hate taking my doors apart.

take them apart...its is worth it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
I know, i've just got an unreasonable phobia of breaking those little ****ing clips that hold everything together :p and to be honest, they sound so good already it hasn't been a huge priority... lol and i like spending all my money on stupid things like guns and computer hardware. How come all my hobbies are so expensive //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

In Nissans you can replace the clips at an auto parts store cheap. I have broken my fare share of them.

i just had a 4 hour drive to college, and all i have to say is "holy ****!!" to these things. I have always had a problem with aftermarket speakers not having enough midbass for me, but these have too much midbass lol. On the frequencies where the sub doesn't kick in, the midbass is so loud and deep it sounds like i have a second sub in the car lol. These things just flat out rule, that's all there is to say. They dont' even compare to my CDT EF's, its like comparing a sony xplod sub to a W7 haha

Thank god I have these puppies sitting right next to me. Theyre going in the car on Wednesday, along with sound deadening on the doors, Sound processor (to flatten the stock headunit signal), and Aux input.

My dad told me its stupid to be wasting money on car audio... can't wait to color his face impressed when he hears the system.

The SLCs are a great little component for the money. Hard to beat unless you go the actuve route. Get some sound deadening, even if it is just a little and you will be amazed at how much it brings out of the speakers! Almost as big as installing the component system itself.
