I’m looking for a amp for my kicker L7 solobaric 15” sub.  It’s just the one.  I was told to look for a mono block amp around 1200-1500 watts at 2ohms.  I’m on a budget and am looking for a cheap amp that will do the job.  I’m new to the speaker business and was just wondering if anyone had any ideas.

Thanks

how many voice coils does your L7 have and what are the impedance of each?

What about Rockville?  I’m seeing it for about 120 on Amazon.  Says it will throw 1500 at 2ohm.
If you have to stay in under $150.

Audiopipe Apmi 1500

I really think you should get the soundqubed 1200 homie recommended because it's a more reliable brand and it has a clipping indicator which alone can save you $100+

Rockville's a decent budget option.

On such a small budget there's no need for 1500, or even 1200w -- it's a 1000w sub.  More power's just SQ insurance that you don't need.

The DB14 will give you ~1000 @ 2 for <$120.

If you want more power anyway, the DB15 will do ~1400 for <$150.

Higher power also means more stress on the electrical system.  Alt and battery upgrades aren't cheap either.

That is the great thing about Maestro products, they are very thorough. Downside is the price tag.
