What is your favorite amp in this price range?

1. I am looking for 1000 to 1500 rms. Real RMS. Powering 2 Kicker 12'' L7 2OHM

2. Preferably efficient on currency.

3. Something that puts out tight bass, no overheating problems, no known flaws.

I have been entertaining the thought of the Earthquake ph-2000w/d1.

I currently have the Kenwood kac-9103d 900rms @2ohms. Decent bass but cuts out all the time.

You guys are my best resource. Point me towards some good quality class d competition bass to push 2 kicker 12''. Thanks!!!

i have a concept 2410 amp puts out 2400rms at 1ohm and never gets hot and i play my **** for hours at a time love the amps thats y i have 4 of them lol

I love my amp, the rockford T10001bd. Most are birthed at 1400 watts. I'm running mine at 1 ohm, 1300 watts, and just took it for a 4 hour trip. Pounded the whole way and never cut out, except for the time I rattled the ground out. I got mine for 250shipped.

You'll see a huge difference from the kenwood to any other amp, your kenwood has 2 30 amp fuses, I doubt your even seeing 500 watts at 2 ohms.

Oh ****. Not at 1 ohm. I'd say the kicker zx1000.1 (birthed 1200-1400 watts), or even better. The zx1500.1. Both are solid.

Are you suggesting the Kicker ZX1000 and ZX1500? I've heard bad things about Kicker's amps. Have you owned a Kicker amp?

What do you think about the Earthquake powerhouse ph2000w/d1?

Those must have been rumors, only bad thing I've heard of is mine getting stolen. Kicker zx's are also considered one of the more effecient amps available.

Dont know where you heard that from , the ZX 1000.1 and 1500.1 are both solid performers and have good build quality .

I own a ZX1500.1 and its been trouble free and puts out plenty of power . Barely gets warm even after paying for a couple of hours .

Since you have 2ohm L7's you should look for an amp that does its rated power at 2ohms (which is getting harder too find)

Really? Because I've heard bad things about the Earthquakes, in that they don't do rated power. But that might be limited to their higher power amps.
