how to prevent distribution block spark?

no matter how many thing you disconnect, the caps in the amp are gonna have to charge, and therefor draw a ton of current. The only way to stop it would be to reconnect it with a resistor in series and quickly take out the resistor and reconnect the correction normally, all pointless. Just touch it once quickly, and with some force to let them charge then just connect it.

You can't, that's the simple answer.

You can only move the spark around. If you disconnect the main battery, when you go to reconnect it, it will spark up there. If you disconnect at a different fuse, that fuse will spark when you put it back in. Just something you have to deal with...Unless you get a very large inline switch/breaker and use that to disconnect the power...

can you elaborate on this? kinda lost me.
there SHOULD be a fuse holder coming off the battery on the main + wire goingfrom the battery to the distro block. (if you do not have one get one asap!) you should removes this main fuse before reconnecting the fuses in the distro block. this will prevent the surge at the distro block. how ever when you reconnect the main fuse near the battery you will have this any way. id suggest just dealing with it. its not hurting anything.

thanks for all the help guys!!!! yeah i have a fuse up front and a fuse in back.
