Ground long or short?

Sould I run my 1/0 gauge ground from the battery or just mount it to the floor like normal which provides a better ground especially in the damp humid area of New Orleans, Louisiana? Thanks for your suggestions

Straight to the floor or chasis would be fine. What part of New Orleans are you from? I am born and raised down there and only recently transplanted north
