Can you solve it?
More than likely they are passing along savings that they are getting from suppliers. Most of this year, the material that is used to make the subs (minus the soft parts which I know nothing about) have been through the roof .... ie...copper, aluminum etc. Prices have drastically shifted allowing them to buy the material at a much better rate.

Cu was almost 4 bucks a lb back in Jan. It was at 1.68 on 10/27 just as a point of ref.
