different brand, same rating?

buy two of the same subs, or one decent 12. It's not a good idea to put two different subs in the same setup because various subs have different excursions, different frequency responses and different box size needs. For example just because there is a kicker sub and an alpine sub with the same RMS rating doesn't mean the two will perform the same.
