Hello just got a new sub amp so out with old in with the new. This is a great amp, does 400@4ohm, 800@2ohms, and 1200@1ohm. These are conservitave rating. I have used it on 2-8s@3ohms, 2-10s@2ohms and a single 15@1ohm. Delivers very clean undistored bass. True audiofile piece. Amp has a few scuffs and scrapes. I would give it a 7 out of 10. Plexy cover is scratch free . Will get pics up shortly. Asking $250 + shipping Have a few refs and perfect e-bay feedback.

Are you sure its rated for 1200 x 1 @ 1ohm?

I believe the D7401 is rated for 800 watts x 1 @ 4ohms and the D7402 1600 watts x 1

Page 11 of the D7401 manual states:

"...If an impedance less than 2 Ohms is used, you will eventually damage your amplifier and void your warrenty"

In other words, it will run a 1 Ohm, but it is not built to last a that impedance.

How long did you run it at 1 Ohm?

I'd bet it's stable, buit as mentioned it may not be reliable.

I have had it running 1ohm for about a week. Barly get warm and I had it on a 60amp fuse. I talked to Diamonds tech about the amp becouse I couldn't find much about it online. Jeramy at Diamond said the power supply was more than adaquet. Diamond just advertised it as 2ohm because the first couple runs where bought part, just rebadged by diamond. They didn't know if they could keep supplied so they underated the specs to keep reliablity up. Latter amps in the series where based of a different board. This is a OG amp. Esoteric boards not PPI's. Not that PPi's arn't good amps. Even if only ran at 2ohms its still a beast of a SQ amp. Hope this helps clarify, amp is still as strong today as it was when it first saw power.
