There's a HUGE difference between these decks internally. The 8240 has a 1-bit DAC, 2V preouts, no AL24 processing, no copper case, no digital input. The 8240 retailed for $500 and the 8250 retailed for $1800. The one I'm selling has a 20-bit Burr-Brown DAC, 5v pre-outs, AL24 processing, and HAS all the things I said the other one doesn't have. It is nearly identical to the Denon DCT Z1 except 20 bit vs 24bit and a single output capacitor. By the way if you are interested in the Denon Z1 go here
