Hey guys, I never installed audio before but I got time and I'm willing to learn. Nothing better than doin it yourself and knowing it's done good. Anyway can u guys check if my list is complete for what I need to instal the system ? I wanted to go with JL Audio and I like things matching, I know that there's probably better bang for the buck, but that's ok, lets just leave it at that.

It's for '06 Scion XB, and pls point out if I'm missing something.

I would for sure not get 3 sets of coax speakers. If you really want to stay with JL i would do a set of zr comps in the front doors ditch the dash speakers and do some coax's for rear fill if you really think you need them.If you have never heard a proper front stage with a good amount of power it will change your thoughts on coax's forever.

dude jl *****. you are wasting soo much money on that crap! do soome more research and buy something else....all you need is a radio, 4 speakers, a sub (or 2 or 4), a 4ch amp and a sub amp. and all your wires.

This setup will probably sound really, really good and save you a bunch of money.

HU: Clarion VX709E

Font Comps: Pioneer TS-D720C (or equivalent TS-D1720C)

Sub: Tang Band Neo W8-1363SB (put it in a properly sized sealed box, imo)

Amp: A decent one with a min of 4x50W RMS (150W bridged)

Install H/W: KnuKonceptz (not sure if they ship to Canada)

JL is far from "****". They have some extremely nice equipment.....

....it just comes with a retarded price tag in comparison to other high end gear

So u'r proposing components for front doors and forget about 4'' indash ? So if I'm not changind indash speakers should I disconnect them and put tweeters from components in there ?

yes, i am. forget the indash.

yes, disconnect them. mounting the tweets in the dash depends on the angle of the dash. if they are firing straight up at the windshield, which they probably are, no. the waves will bounce off the glass.

play around with a few mounting points to see what sounds best to you. try the door near the mid, the sail panel, a-pillars, etc.

K, u know what, I might even listen to u //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif but ZR525-CSi might b a little too much //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

How about C5-650 2-Way Component Systems for the fornt ( my fronts are 6.5 not 5.25, made a mistake)

and C2-525x Coaxials for the back

and u said 300/4v2 should run it no problemm right ?

don't worry, you will spend a lot more before you are done with car audio. this is just the first installment //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
