well i have a ford escort lx 1997 and the mounting depth is like 1 7/8 inch and it seams like a pain to mod the door becuase of window handle to drop in a pioneer rev 6.5. i was going to go with a coaxile because of no space for a tweeter. but i was thinking if i build boxes for the speakers and put them down near where your feet go and aim. would that work if so how big show box be? and should it be sealed? if i went with comps would the tweeter be able to be in the same box? any ideas be nice thanks

Very true. It seems pretty obvious that you have a limited amount of knowledge about car audio. If you want to go with components, either get a set of kick panels built by an audio shop, or see if you can find some prefabs from companies like Q Logic. If you don't want the cost and trouble of going that route, just buy some 1" or 1.5" MDF spacer rings to get you the clearance you need to mount the REVs.

well if theres a double post its becuase it dont think i hit the right botton. i am not doing this all my self but can i make one out of mdf? if so does ti need to be sealed?

Kick panels cannot be made out of MDF, at least not correctly. They are made out of fiberglass, and come off of the existing panels by your feet in the car (hence the "kick" part). You don't need a box. Just a well-placed mounting location and proper sound deadening.

i am not worried about looks. if its mounted to the floor or door would it not work if its angled up at ears?
