Can you guys recommend me some woofers out there that have the greatest motor strength or Bl. I know the RE MT has great motor strength but I cant afford it with my other upgrades im planning. Thanks guys //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

If You can tell me Why You need motor's with "more BL", then I will gladly run You a list a high BL drivers.

Yes, Seriously.

Prolly looking for loud woofers...but...

If your looking for something that will get balls loud for cheap...check out the Incriminator Audio LI's. I'm using 1 12" in my GF's setup...2 cubes NET @30hz+ 600rms = 140.7 on the TL //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

John says,

"a woofer needs to excite the resonance of the port as much as possible. To do this you want lots of motor strength or Bl" and I take his word for it. List please?? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

If BL strength had such a direct link to output ability, don't you thin we'd see posts like this all the time? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif BL is but one factor in the design of a woofer. In fact, there is such a thing as too much BL force. Look at the Eclipse Ti Pro for example.

X2!!! but Ill compare apples to apples when I know some brands with high to moderate Bl within my price range //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif I know ex... most cone area, moderate x-max....

No, because since when do people on this board care about T/S parameters, and the ones that do, don't need to ask.

This is almost as bad as shopping for a sub based on magnet size. Its the same idea, more MUST be better, without understand that a speaker is a complex design whose final performance is based not only on each individual specification/part, but how they interact with each other. Again, if you aren't following what Im saying, do a search here for Eclipse Ti Pro and read the comments said about how its 'over motored'. Not only does it serve no useful purpose to performance, it can actually hinder it over a design with the proper BL strength.

If this John person you speak of told you that, either 1) he misunderstands that BL strength is irrelevant if only considered by itself, or (and more likely) 2) he knew this but you misunderstood his point. BL strenght IS important, but looked at in and of itself means almost nothing.

I didnt misunderstand his point, I realize there is more to a woofer than Bl, I'm looking for a woofer with high Bl etc.... Im not just looking at the motor strength but when I get a list Ill compare woofer to woofer and choose the right one for my application. Thanks though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif anyone have any recomendations???
