Okay here is the situation. I own Kappa amplifiers and one day my Kappa FOUR decides not to work. I check fuses and see they are blown. So I put new fuses in and the fuses arc and my amplifier goes poof. I figure something is faulty that caused it. The amplifiers have 2 year warranty and i have had for 2 months. I send them to the supplied amplifier repair suggested by vendor and expect 2-3 weeks to be repaired. I know the design of these amplifiers is unique so i figure any major repairs would be an issue. Figures i call 3 weeks to the day and they say the MCB and 6 diodes are done, and say its pretty toast. They said that they cannot repair and it would have to be sent right to supplier ( out in quebec, canada ).
Now should i just call the supplier and tell them straight up... okay i know its gonna cost you guys more than a new amplifier is worth especially in labour, can i just have a new amplifier ( since its only been 2 months ).
Or should I wait another 3 weeks and possibly get news that the amplifier is not able to be fixed anyways?
Just wondering what you guys thought, I'm probably going to grab a temporary 4 channel to tie me over ( i have had no music for 3 weeks dammit! ) lol.
