Amp Recommendation?

He may be dreaming but dreaming is a good thing. Your obviously gonna have to get something that puts out some good power, but these subs are very efficent, so a good 500-750 watt amp should be good. You have any brand in mind? And stay positive, you got an awesome deal and that deal will only get better for you.

I just got two rockford fosgate T2 10's today for a steal ($100), and they are both in a nicely made, large ported box....
I'm looking for a good bang for buck amp that'll get the job done... ideally I'd like to spend $200 or less but I know I might be dreaming...
u test those subs with a DMM

Probably didn't take them out the box
Was that necessary?

Anyways yeah I took em to my neighbor's sound shop after I got em and they're fine... I bought them off a friend who deals with foreclosed homes and he found them inside one of his houses //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I went down my local craigslist last night and gave lowball offers to every amp that looked appealing... I ended up picking up a Hifonics Brutus 1600W for $150, and I'm satisfied... These 10's hit like 12's, and I'm loving the notes they hit... I'm on the lookout for midrange solutions now //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

the bb2400.1 is a GREAT deal, actually just bought one off ebay. but for the rms its putting out vs rms of subs i wouldn't recommend it. the bb2400 is too much power for 1600 watts(rms) worth of subs. unless they are dual 2 and he wants to run them @ 2 ohms

i would suggest something in the 1500 watt rms range.

You have a blown cap in the amp more than likely. Had the same thing happen to a soundstream amp.

No need to bypass the amp. Most use an LOC that takes the full amped signal and turns it into a flat RCA level signal. Here is the newest I have...
