Acousta-stuf? Less Bass

Hey ppl. I recently replaced my stock rear speakers to 2 brand new 6 1/2 Kenwoods. In the process i laid down a bit of Acousta-stuf in the whole rear section around the speakers. The bass sounds a bit lower(has less of a punch) but dnt knw if it has n e thing 2 do w/ the acousta-stuf or if im just trippin. What do u guys think?
