ok...i will start off by saying this....

im sure most of you noticed i have posted alot of "vs. threads"...well, i am getting tons of different suggestions from everyone...but then someone says something then the thread gets all off topic and twisted...and don't ask me what my budget is...i wouldn't ask what sub i should get if i couldn't afford it...

I need to make this the final thread decision....

choices are as followed......(assume they are in their recommended box size given their RMS wattage...)

1. 1 DD 3515

2. 1 Alpine 15" Type-R

3. 2 Alpine 12" Type-R's

4. 1 DD 9512

I don't need a whole explanation....just,

Please order your suggestions from greatest to least....for example...

1. Best

2. Good

3. Alright

4. Maybe

THANKS!

What are your goals...SPL,SQL or SQ?!

First off the DD's and the Type R's are in a whole different ball park.....

Type R's are a Budget street beater...nothing spectacular....performs well for the price....DD is just awesome with the build quality but most people that use DD are either serious DD or competitors....

What's the budget //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

im going for loudness...i mean i wanna be AT LEAST 140.0db for daily...rap music....

ok....lol....budget is 3grand for the whole system...so you know...i can easily afford these subs....

and like Phreaker said....DD is more for competitions...well...i dont plan on going to any...but i am competing to be the loudest in my neighborhood....one dude has a single MTX 9512 other has a pair of JL 12w3's other has a single 12L7.....

i like DD because they can get loud....

but im getting my box from Mark over @ TCAB....and you know that his "specialty" box is for the type-r....he has some "trick" to make em wang like mo-fo....he has two customers with his box and a type-r 15...doing low low 150's....like 150.2.....

by the way.....

this is going into a civic.....

if you got the cash 2 dd3512s but those type Rs really isnt a good comparison. I ve never heard someone say **** i hate this 9512 iam buying Type Rs next season....lol
but I have heard about a guy who got rid of his DD1010's, bought Pioneer 256Cs instead, which cost like half as much, and gained like 3dBs...

lol....the two 3512's are the most expensive of the 5 choices...lol....

i think i'm going to acctually take that one off....because the subs are expensive by themselves...then i gotta power em! cost = //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

and that was funny what you said...lol...

and that was exactly what i was going to do before....a 9512 powered by the kicker zx2500

HD3's are cheaper than any of your options from DD. Audioque is the sister company of DD so your getting same build quality.

Congradulations on thinking the louder the car the larger your penis will grow. If your trying to get up to 140's and like 150's you might as well get "competition" grade woofers.

(2) AQ HD312's

or

(1) DD 9515

and

(1) DD Z1

Upgraded alternator and battery.

You would still have well enough for your front stage and box.
