4- HDS212 - vs - 1 hdc3 15" ????

hi guys,

as most know im running 1 sq hdc3 15" running it at 1 ohm on a ppi 7000 amp.

well there a guy selling 4 - HDS212 and i decided to buy them.

so im wandering will i gain anything running all 4 in the right ported box on same power.

for now....

was thinking of getting another amp and running 2 subs off 1 amp.

so ???

will i gain anything running them subs off of 1 amp?

and would i gain even more if i got another amp ?

how much room do you have? have you tried modelling it yet and what kind of tuning do you want - i modeled those subs and they aren't low end monsters iirc

na....

plan on doing 4- 15" ( doing 4 - hdc3 15" )

but for now 4- 12" should get me louder i hope over just 1- 15"

winISD is showing me 6-8 cubes with a big *** round port ~8-9 inches isnt bad, 8 cubes giving more gains at 30-50hz. -3db is at 29hz and port velocity is good, maybe someone familiar with these subs can help me out this is just what im finding in winISD atm.

ya box will be about 8.8 cubes and that net.

already have a cut sheet from ccstang.

tuned at 34

port 14.71 ( 129.38^2 )

subs up, port firing at tailgate, port low.

sub up, port back.

Gain a little bit, at most a Db or two if your subs arent already pushed to that point yet.

ok thats what i wanted to know.

ill see when i get them installed how there being pushed.

if i think they will take more ill get another ppi amp.

and run 2 subs to each amp.

but we will see.

when i get them ill updated my build log..
