Before doing the big 3 on that bronco, swap that alt with one from a mid 90s Taurus IIRC. Known as the "3g swap". Just have to splice in the 3g alts harness and a plug and make a notch in the broncos alt bracket. Pretty easy to do and it makes a good difference when I did it on mine. Search...

It also happens when the subs are unhooked to set gains. Voltage and ground seem fine.

My PPI P1000.1 goes into protect mode when its starts clipping (according to my nano oscope). It did that ever since i bought it new from sonicelectronix. Is this a common thing with these amps?
