Pioneer Premier DEH-p390mp winding noise, I need it gone!

I have a Premier DEH-p390mp. I Keep getting that high pitch winding noise through my speakers. First I was told that it was my ground wire, but it wasnt'. And noise killer devices get rid of it, but weaken my speaker output.

I was told of a little known secret that Pioneer decks come with a fuse on the inside or somethin like that. And that I could just crack it open and take it out. Few people know about it and they just end up selling their HUs for dirt cheap or just throwing them away.

Has anybody ever heard of that? And does it work & if so how do you do it?

Thanks in advance.

They were referring to the "Pico" fuse.....Which is blown by "Hot swapping"--Unhooking and hooking up rca's while the hu has power.......simple fix ground the shield of your RCA's behind HU to the HU chassis itself.

one question, which you didnt state but I think people are assuming: do you have a 4 channel amp hooked up to your speakers? Since you didnt mention it, and the deck doesnt send feedback through the internal amp (I'd know my 8600mp does it), I am just trying to make sure we are on the right path here.

Pioneers are notorious for engine wine noise. I only had to ground one of them. I screwed one wire to the outside of the deck then touched each one till it went away.

LOL indeed if you really want to fix the problem get rid of the head unit and get something like a pioneer.

Yes that is what they mean by grounding the rcas

Thanks mane. Hey in that second option you show. Those two wires that you have hanging off each RCA cable, did you just ground the other end of the wire somewhere in your car?

It's a 4 channel amp. Shoot when I turn my sub to high pass, you can hear a little humming in the subs. That should get rid of that too huh?

When you use the method in which you wrap the bare wire around the RCA jacks, do you leave it like that?
