ppl say they meter crappy but some people here that fix amps for a profession say they do rated but have horrible build quality.
for the money hard to beat
i wouldnt touch 1 personally but i am biased to quality vs power so its a moot opinion really to suggest anything different .

they have been really popular but for 230 for the MBQuart dsc 1500.1 i sell with 2 yr dealer direct warranty its a world of dif in quality

they are designed for 12-14 volts they do on average 1650-1700 rms x1 @ 1 ohm on 12 volts they are very very overbuilt.
they are aloso safe to run at .50 ohms on 13+ volts daily and will never get hot. less than a .10% failure rate as well.

The AP is definitely a solid amp IMO. I wouldnt fall into that guys selling gimmick ^^ Im sure his amps are good, but on a budget the AP cant be beat. Just about everyone that has used the 1.5k1d say its solid and easily does rated power. I have one and I love it to death. It cant be beat for around 150-160 shipped brand new.

what are you running on it?
I had a pair of Type Rs, but am just running 1 right now. I know, I know, such high quality! lol But seriously, unless you are really into sound quality and can tell very minute differences, I doubt you could notice a difference between the AP and another amp.

well i dont want a POS tho. its for a 15 lvl 4 xl. and so far everything ive bought for it is pretty good quality. if two more ppl dont vouche for the ap i wont even give a slight chance

My brother is running the AP 1500D on his RE MT and it's doing great. I know plenty of people running the 3K's as well which are two 1500's strapped internally IIRC, and I have yet to see one fail.
Great amps and if the budget is tight I'd recommend them in a heartbeat.

and if u go re-read micah ud see i said thay are hard to beat for the price!
there is no marketing gimmick here at all.
i never said anything contrary at all. i stated known facts period. the mbquart is 10 x's the quality and has a 2 yr dealer direct warranty the ap doesnot. and with a warranty from an authorized dealer the ap is more than the quart.
