well....my fiend has some really bad subs...and i am rebiulding his box for his....and while doing that wiring them (2) to 4 ohms.

well....i found out that one of the subs tinsle threads (i think there called) is broken.

the subs are duel 4 ohms

one is working great while the other has that problem....any ideas on how to wire it with only one terminal?

can i just use one of the terminals and that sub will still be at 4 ohms?

Phoenix gold makes great equipment actually //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
the rubber caps on the magnets?????

what made them do that?

duel 4 ohm= 4 ohm in one coil?????

What subs are you talking about? And what does having rubber caps on the magnet have to do with a speaker being crapy?

rubber is not very conductive=heating up

octane R 10" (2)

basing this on what ive heard....yea..they might have better subs out there.

dual 4 ohm = 2 ohms, or 8 ohms
how do you wire it....say there are two coils each have a "=" and "-"

and i can only use one of them.....the sub woofer is D4 and if i only use one coil...it will be at....?

The octane r 10 is phoenix golds entry level sub. Furthermore the rubber cap on the magnet has no negative effects what so ever, its just cosmetic. The octane r is actually pretty good for what it is.
