Which is best overall? From what I heard, they both put out the same amount of power. The sundown has a 2 year warranty the crunch has 1 year. The sundown is $800 new the crunch is $450 shipped new. I could get 2 crunch amps for the price of 1 sundown. Is there really a huge difference or is it mainly just sundown fan boys

Well Sundown has a very good reputation. Jacob is all over the forums if anything were to go wrong with your Sundown. As for the Crunch, if it blows well your ****ed.

Thats what Im getting at, at the same time if I f u c k one up then I could buy another new one to replace it and it will still be close to the same price as one sundown.

hmmm you have a sundown have you even tried the gp? Or just a fan boy like I mentioned? I need some comments from people who have tried both.

personally, I would run the crunch soley because of the price difference

Lets see um a Sundown 3000d is around 800 new. An IA 40.1 is around 800 new. A zx2500 is around 700 new. All those 3 mentioned put out around 3k watts. Why would a Crunch one be so cheap and actually put out 3k?

Bench test showed at 11.5 volts it made 2850 watts at a 1.03 ohm reactive.By just starting the car and using the high amp alternator (starting at 16.1 volts and dropping to 12.3volts), the 3000 made 3732 watts. With a 16v battery With the battery voltage dropping to 15.7 volts with a 1.4 ohm reactive it made 4640 usable watts.

Just for the nut huggers. They are deffinitely buying them right? crunch had a bad rep in the past. They see crunch and run. They also see the price and run but they dont realize this is crunches way of making a huge comeback. The first and only amp from crunch that is actually underrated.
