is it possible without cutting?

the front doors of my car have 5x7 holes cut in them, and i was jsut wondering if there was a way i'd be able to put 6 1/2"s in there, maybe with a MDF baffle? im looking to get better midbass without kicks, because i haven't had a chance to do any kinda of fiberglassing yet.

front doors might need to be cut, rear lid, bottom mount and make new holes.. lil ghetto but im pretty sure they dont make adapter for them.. other than putting some speaker spacers in might work too

Itt will be close. If you want to guarantee no cutting go with 5 1/4. i know some 51/4's like kickers actually come witha 5x7 conversion plate. but with the 6 1/2 you may get lucky i had a ford expedition which i put 6 1/2's in with an abs plate with no cutting of the car. but now i drive an f 1-50 which required a small amount of cutting to get the speaker to fit.

****IT NO CUTTING NEEDED...... I HAEV done this in F150's Windstars, Mustangs, Taurus..... Focus, every ford use's 5x7 and u cna get a 6.5 in there. u might hvae to shave alittle bit off the door panal on hte back side just soo u can get excursion from the mid. other then that tahts it.

yes the old f-150s dont require cutting. but on the new body 04 and up the speaker mounts into a recessed pocket on the door panel up front. which usually needs to be trimmed.

cool... thanks all for the help, im gonna play around with it today, i dont even have 6.5's yet but im looking at some XXX mids //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif :naughty:
