Trunk Battery mount?

I was wonder if it is possible to run two batteries? I want to trunk mount a Optima for my system, but how do you trunk mount a battery? What gauge wire would I need and such. Thanks

Take your main power wire (coming from the front battery) and connect it to the rear battery + . Ground the rear battery in the rear to chassis. Now add your cable to connect your amps off the rear battery, grounds can connect to the rear battery terminals. Gauge would be determined by stereo draw, 1/0 would be preferred. Be cerain to upgrade grounds under the hood as well.

I just want one battery, but the optima doesn't fit my car, so I figured i will just trunk mount it.

i would just get one that fits, or modify the area that the battery is mounted in.

Well I want to buy the best quality battery and the Optimas don't fit, but they are on one of the best quality batteries available in stores all over. I don't really want to modify where it sits because there isn't alot of extra space around the battery to begin with.
