Ford Explorer install help

Hey,

Has anyone installed a system into their explorer? I have read some things

that the newer explorer's have factory amps and that when you install a new

deck, you have to take the factory amp out? anyone had any experience with

this, or know anything about it? I have a '99 X. btw, im putting an alpine

7897 with two kicker sb 12'' l5's powered by a RF 1000w. Then new 6x8's in the

doors and two tweets up front. thanks for the help
