Ohms for 1 JLw3 12" DVC How to get 1ohm?!

Just wanted to know how to properly hook up a JL 12w3 dual voice coil sub to maximize my output. I know there are two positive and two negative hookups but how would I hook this up to a 4 channel amp that is bridgable. Run two of the amps " + \ - " to one of the Subs voice coils and the other 2 channel to the other voice coil?!

You could do that, but it's not recommended. It's almost impossible to get 2 bridged sets to have the same levels. Some people do it though.

You really do not want to run all four channels onto the sub like that. You want both coils to be getting the exact same signal. If you send a mixed signal to the coils the subs coils will be working against each other and therefore not doing anything good for the sub. You will want to run them to one set of the channels bridged for best results.
