What are your opinions of this speaker? Four of them would be run by a jbl 80/4 amp if I chose them. I would want the coaxial version. Is this a nice speaker and does it have a good adjustable crossover? I listen to basically all types of music if that helps (rap, rock, some acoustic stuff)

Thanks,

-Jeff

I have the Type-R 5.25 in my door set up. Only had them running of the HU for the first couple of Weeks now i have the Alpine MRP-F200 running about 50watts rms and they really opened up. I wound say for the price there one of the best COMP out there good mid and high range.

that would be good for sq with those subs and speakers comps is short for components/splits/separates in otherwords separate woofer and tweeter and mabey midrange

Hey, Im planning on running a seperate 80/4 Jbl amp to power my speakers. I am thinking of doing the comp type r's in front with coaxial type r's in the rear. The only thing is I dont have a set place for tweeters in my car. Can they just be mounted on the dash board?

For proper imaging the tweeters need to be mounted as close to the drivers as possible (within 9" ideally i think) but mounting them up by the window on the door or on the Cpillar seems to sound good enough.
