im new to the board but frequently post on caraudioforum

just wondering what all you guys are running and what you're hitting. the other forum is more of an SPL oriented place with the loudest daily driver being 163ish with 2 DD beasts and 4 modded 4000X's

here's my setup however non of it is really installed as of yet...im working on glassing the door pods for the components and midbass right now

come on people...obviously most of you have cars with stereos in them, or have in the past

i have hit mid 140's with a friends alpine typeS 12 in his car it was geting about 400 rms and the tinsel leads have now snapped from over excursion alpine fixing it under waranty now so it is all good my setup is for sq read my signature 128.5 Db with sony sub clipped hard as hell not bad huh

actually, Ive got 2 HE2 12's and a sony 760 amp (which I hate) and its allright, never actually put it on the meter, I'm probably not hitting anything good though...sounds allright and thats all i care about.

Right now I am in the process of updating and changing a lot of stuff...Ive got the new Sony In-Dash LCD on the way soon, and I'm looking to upgrade my HU also. Im also in the market for a new amp for my subs, although I dont know what I really want yet.

Brock nice system and set up. The web page is not too shabby either....tho tripod? LOL (sorry had to ***** I know its free and all, but anyways.....)

My system is all right here in my signature. Have not had it metered yet, but may or may not before next years competitions. I was able to run an RTA on it, but still am weary as the subs are not quite broken in. Maybe next month?!

As for what I hit before? I was running around 145 steadily with a Pioneer h/u running to an Orion HCCA250 pushing 4 12" subs in the back of a 1991 Nissan Sentra..... I have been thru many cars since then but have been out of competition loop for a lil while not. I will be back soon tho!

I had a pair of shitty Bazookas pushing just under 140, my brother took the same pair added about 150 watts of power and a bigger enclosure and was pushing a 144 something. Currently I have one 12" Pioneer Premier which I got metered a couple Saturday's ago and did a 133.9 on a Linear X. We tried metered it on 3 different tunes, the first one was under 132, the second was 132.something, and then finally popped in old reliable (THX excursion test) and boom 133.9. Maybe some mods coming later in the future, perhaps a ported box and more power. But it's loud enough for me, and it sounds pretty **** good.
