Ok look here fool, I have a jl w7 it was paid in full by my friend who disliked it and bought 2 brahma's he likes a whole lot better. I love the w7. There is a controversy between the w7 and the brahma between Him and I. The w7 is bridged to a boss 1400.2 channel amp I dont know the ohm load, but it sounds good and has not blown yet. Im not a liar just confused a little bit. The 170 is estimated. I do compete in compitions. If you will notice I live in germany. I will have some picz of my setup soon for the proof to you all.

Fool? Listen here SON....I have done this for a long time and I am well aware of what many subs are capable of. The jlw7 is not only VERY poor for SQ, but it NOT going to hit anywhere remotely close to 170db especially not off of a boss amp and in a ghetto rigged set up. Now take your ignorant *** out of here. When calling someone a fool you should know just a little bit more about the background they come from and you should try to spell all of your words properly. Especially if you are going to use big ones like competition.

that is true that the w7 isn't the best sub out there...and the reason nobody respects it is because it has the price tag of the best sub out there. if it was the same price as a brahma...i believe it would be talked about almost if not as much as the brahma. the w7 does have good sound quality(for my ears) i just didn't get it because of the price. i believe the w6v2's almost as good as it for about half the price....and cmbyomamma, where can you get a 13.5 for $400...how much would u be able to get the 12 for?

Yea you are right, but Im a jl audio fan I like the sound. You cant believe what you want, but I bought the w7 for 150$ used. He also owed me money for the amp I let him borrow and he fried. How much are the w6v2s and where can I get the best price on them?

I dont see why I just wire the sub with 10 guage wire to the amp bridged 80% amp gain and while it last see if it sounds good. I havnt failed yet. I know the boss amps ohms and stuff like that. what it operates at.
